If they can’t, what’s the point of doing any advanced scouting of opponents or video review of your own performances? Slot certainly has limitations in the squad that is not able to be fixed right now. The suggestion that tactical tweaks cannot be made is rubbish.

The flip side to this is that every single team in professional football has some ability to tweak their game plan to some extent. You can’t make drastic tactical changes and have them come across as coherent but a coaching staff can and should make adjustments based upon opponents and tendencies.

My big issue with how Liverpool approach the game at 1-1 is bringing Chiesa on for Ibou and moving Gomez central and Jones to RB. Surely the move would have been withdrawing Macca or Dom. I don’t quite get moving that many pieces and destroying your shape.
