I wish it was the heat of the moment but this kind of behavior has been consistent for a while. It reminds me of the tech bro energy that surrounds crypto. If you’re not all in, you’re treated like an idiot.
I use Doug’s module almost every day. I’m sure there’s more I could learn from him.

I’ve now been blocked, which honestly just reinforces the point.
I’m a nobody in the PowerShell community—just someone who’s trying to learn, and engage in good faith. I had one interaction with Doug on Bluesky, and this was the result. If that’s how differing opinions are handled, it says a lot

I believe I’ve seen this same pattern in how Doug has responded to @mrpowershell.bsky.social and others. It’s not just a one-off—it’s become a habit. If you express any skepticism about AI, you’re treated like a fool. That kind of tone makes it hard to engage honestly or constructively.

@dougfinke.bsky.social I appreciate you speaking up, Brett. I’ve been struggling lately with separating the coder from the code—and this kind of behavior makes that harder. It’s disheartening to see someone so prominent in the PowerShell community punch down instead of lifting others up.

What is your view of the future? To me it sounds dystopian where human creativity is substituted for algorithms. Sure there is first mover advantage, but long term it seems that you will be obsolete as well.
