What type of antenna are you using? That may also play a role.
Also WGME is closer to you than the other two stations.
My other question would be what type of antenna you are using. In the direction of Portland, WMTW is a VHF signal and WCSH and WGME are on UHF.

WVII is similar to WLBZ (left), but WABI has a site that is just far better for reception in your direction. Your field strength would be better from WCSH.

Since you're in between Portland and Bangor, I'll point out that WLBZ is a tougher catch than it should be. It's on RF channel 2 (low-VHF is tough to receive in digital) with an ERP of 3 kW. That'd actually qualify as a low-power TV station!
Have you contacted the engineering department at News Center Maine? Strange issue to have. Brunswick is about 37 miles (60 km) from the WCSH transmitter site so I presume that's the one in question.

I rarely talk about politics on main, but there is an urgent national need for there to be, somewhere, a PAC/organization dedicated to very visibly countering trans attacks and putting positive images of trans people in front of centrist voters.
Problem: fundraising would be mostly cis donors.
