Finished up the new Raw Six Setting (per my previous post)... not sure when I'll release version 1.6 officially.
Drafted - in sketch form (2500 words) - a new setting for my Raw Six rule set today (RW being based on OpenD6 and Mini Six). Heroes of the Inland Sea is unabashedly a take on traditional sword and sorcery, with a bit of Al-Qadim, Dark Sun and Fighting Fantasy mixed in.
I don't normally do this, but my Coriolis scenario - Iahru-Four-7 - is 1 (paid) sale from Gold (i.e. having 101 paid sales). If you like my stuff and have a $1 to spare, I'd appreciate the sale. BTW I have a v1.1 update but I want release that after going Gold.

Another little something I'm working on - no ETA...
Another overdue project finally getting to the pointy end... still lots to go!
Updated my Raw Six ruleset to v1.5. Its my take on the Open D6 (i.e. WEG Star Wars, Mini Six, etc.) system designed to be paired back and more player facing - unboundbook.org/raw-six/
And it's out - Operation: Harvest Moon for @pelgranepress.bsky.social's The Esoterrorists RPG.
Grab it here - legacy.drivethrurpg.com/product/5502...
Finally finished the first draft of my next Esoterrorists scenario - Operation: Harvest Moon.
Maybe by Christmas I can get this released? But, hey, if nothing else, working on this monstrosity broke my well extended period of writer's block...
@oldhammerpodcast.bsky.social really enjoying your Dark future episodes (just on the catch up now). You did ask π.
A little while away yet, but something old that's new again coming to Unbound Publishing...
Fortunately I located a not too expensive copy to replace the first - a book I still have on my shelves 20-plus years later...
This brings back wonderful memories - I still remember scanning (page by page on A4 bed scanner) my first copy of Prince Valiant (the binding of which was busted beyond repair)... I scanned the text and even started recreating the book in Word.
Tidying up an old harddrive drive tonight, and I discovered a Con-style scenario wrote for this grand, old game. I had long thought the draft had been lost to the digital gods, and happy to rediscover it! A good candidate for a future issue of Unbound Magazine, maybe?
Undecided what to work on next, and happy to hear thoughts from the 'voices in the ether'... is it time to get back to a couple Esoterrorist scenario drafts or should I focus on my Call of Cthulhu Dark Ages adventures?
So it's out and available (for $1.50) - legacy.drivethrurpg.com/product/5279...
Hope it goes okay... but expecting this to be a quiet one :P
Been in a writing funk for a while, so decided to challenge myself to produce a publishable supplement for @darrindrader.bsky.social's great Reign of Discordia RPG in less than a week. Almost there... a bit of an edit and an image or two (commission years ago) and it is going out the door for $1
Some good news: support for #OpenQuest on Virtual Tabletop via Role (playrole.com) is about to go live in the next couple of days. I've decided, for a number of reasons, that it will be free!
A little something more from a project in the works #CastingtheRunes, #TheDesignMechanism...
A little something I've been inspired to work on... very much a draft as I get the text in order...
Thanks buddy! Appreciate the kind words, it's those bits of feedback that cheer me up and help me get over the feeling that I'm simply shouting into the ether!!
So I've just released Issue Zero of - unboundbook.org/unbound-maga... - Unbound Magazine. My attempt to publish some of the crazy roleplaying ideas that have plagued my hard drive for decades.
Please share with anyone who might find weird RPGs interesting. So, more issues to come? ... er, maybe?
So my scenario - Hailing from Darkest Stars (for Coriolis: The Third Horizon) - is one sale off of becoming a Copper best seller over on Drive-thru www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/4....
Anyone keen on doing the honour of getting it to that mark?
And now I've fixed the .main-menu ul:before behaviour. Sigh, it was a bit of a brute force css hack that will likely 'bite me bum' in the future, but oh well!
After 'butterfingering' my way to deleting the existing menu on unboundbook.org, I've spent the evening rebuilding it bigger and better than ever (bar one little .css issue that I'm just too tired to muck around with)...
Love that Wordpress comes with some nice, free plugins...
Sort of - sorry, hate being dancing around the subject, but until we actually get the first drafts done I don't want to say more (well on this platform :P)
Thanks!!
Without trying to sound too cryptic, it's not freelancing as such but more the opportunity to publish (and sell) scenarios for a game I really love :P
A couple of things to report -
I've signed an agreement with a publisher to produce material for one of their lines; excited to be working on this with a friend!
Been tinkering over on www.unboundbook.org to better reflect the page structure and content (as well as to accommodate future plans).
On my current Planetary Romance/Science Fantasy kick, I rewatched 'John Carter' tonight. Still believe it is really under rated (even if it did have some story elements that seemed out of place)... okay so it ain't Princess of Mars, but it is a real good modern re-envisioning!
Goes to show how much unfinished writing I have floating around on my hard drives, as today I found a mostly completed text for an Edgar Rice Burroughs meets Jules Verne style RPG. That 10k plus words I had forgotten I've even written from back in 2007/8.
Maybe I just finish up and and publish it?
