I sincerely envy game dev communities that can stick through the entirety of a game project. Each person fulfilling their role in a project. Seeing Sonic Megamix Mania being finished exemplifies this.
Over time, I've came to realize that being a solo game dev is very, VERY hard. You go in silence, brainstorming, designing, plotting. All the time you could spend with family or friends is put away for the sake of finishing that level map, or programming that boss fight.
