I believe Cincinnati would've needed to win the Big XII tournament regardless of the outcome with TCU. 14 losses and a sub-200 loss (to #240 EMU) is a recipe for exclusion, and this committee has excluded better UC teams.

From pretty much Game 2 of this season I wondered why Cincinnati hadn't scheduled Miami. It's a no-brainer regional rivalry and better for a Bearcat schedule than an Alabama St.
