The word progressive has pretty much lost all meaning over the past decade.
It used to refer to people who were to the left of mainstream liberals, but shared many of their legislative goals, such as UHC, and understood the importance of voting pragmatically rather than having purity tests.

With an expanding war in the Middle East and less than 100 days until the start of the World Cup, the promised $30.5 billion economic boon to the U.S. is not a sure thing.
Reverend Jesse Jackson called on each of us to be heralds of change, to be messengers of hope; to step forward and say “Send me” wherever we have a chance to make an impact.
