Our new paper in Current Anthropology summarises a joyfully collaborative project to protect cultural heritage in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq by engaging a wider public and making archaeology as a form of cultural heritage more accessible and enjoyable.

Our paper on Late Chalcolithic Shakhi Kora was just published. A rather amazing site with an intriguing occupation history that suggests the development of local institutional households, an Uruk one, and then the rejection of this type of centralised organisation/power.
