New: Internal tension at the Associated Press over use of AI. One of the AP newsroom leaders leading the company's AI initiatives told staff that many editors preferred an AI-written article to a human one, and told them when it comes to using AI in the newsroom "resistance is futile."
Poppy is involved in all things cool, as usual youtu.be/vtw5BDpKgJM?...
I'd prefer no mid-season tuning (excepting bugs), but regardless, all very exciting.

The strangest aspect of games journalism to me is how many 'journalists' refuse to contact anyone about anything. I still remember years ago when a PR person tore into a bunch of us โ myself excepted โ for not contacting her to get her company's side of a story, which she was very right to do.

Due to federal budget cuts, Friday marked my last day as a reporter at my local paper. I learned a ton from the job, and it was a privilege to serve the public, but now I'm back on the hunt for work โ in journalism, communications, games media/journalism/PR, and... games production!
That or the opposite where they hype the shit out of it and it does nothing for me

we said all along that they wanted Gawker dead not because we embarrassed a pro wrestler but because the Epstein story is one Gawker was covering a decade before most other people caught up & was just one of many stories exposing powerful people and their misdeeds
Poor bastards
Then he'll fit right in
