No worries, glad to pass it on. It's just an extension of the Noel's Retro Lab CPC tape input mod, applied to the model of tape deck used in the +2A which used very similar circuit...

My neighbour and I just repaired a similar Technics SL-PJ1 CD Player which wouldn't move the laser (I think it didn't spin the disc either?) The issues was a broken belt which connected the worm gear which tracks the laser with the motor. However this looks like quite a different mechanism,good luck

Can totally relate all my retro projects are on the very go slow at the minute and I'm really missing it too... Your video are top notch tho, really enjoy them so hopefully a gap will come and you can get the time to do another, I'll watch the heck out of it!

Spotted these in an Italian deli out and about and had to pick them up after @adriansdigitalbasement.com featured them in a turbo mail call and they looked so good!
When I worked in hotels, calling our local phone number - get this - made the phone ring at the front desk and it was MY JOB to answer that phone and help people.
I want us to return to that world. It was more fun when we just helped each other and didn't try to avoid each other.
