I guess this is the end of the Whitecaps in Vancouver.
I guess this is the end of the Whitecaps in Vancouver.
They've always been cheap. Honestly, just sitting on the Whitecaps franchise for the last decade, and seeing the team's value go up, while not investing in the infrastructure for the franchise. Like, they've been in BC Place since 2011, and they couldn't get anything sorted out until this year??
Well, if there's a time to rise up to speak up. It's now.
Guess the team's gone, then. Why can't Vancouver retain and keep their pro teams, and pro sporting events?? There's something deeply wrong with this city.
It’s good to be back with the church. We’ve missed everyone at the community! Looking forward to this Sunday together.
Tim Ford is a poor referee. In any other profession if you’re this bad at your job. There’s usually a firing. How is Ford allowed to keep referring when he’s this bad at his job? @MLS
Switch Kane and Höglander and I think that’s pretty accurate with the current group of players. My only concern is Chytil. If he goes down again. Who’s stepping up as 2C? Blueger??
I’m glad he’s back. But they still gotta address that 2C.
Mixed offseason for me so far. I think it’s great that they’ve reigned Garland, Demko and Brock. But that 2C is a major concern going into the season. Do the Canucks even have what other teams might want to make a deal?
Wow. Lots of business closing.
Who’s the Canucks trading?
I can see him moving on from the Canucks.
Doesn't seem likely. But who knows.
I mean they haven't gotten to a deal yet. Possibility is high that he walks in the summer and Canucks have nothing to show for it.
Probably not. +/- can often be a misleading stat though. But yeah. The 18 goals don't scream 8M dollar player. Unfortunately I think Boeser is going to move on. I can see him landing in his home state of Minnesota this off season.
Awesome
Hopefully he will heal quickly and get back on the pitch. We need the captain! Best start in franchise history in the MLS era. Let's keep it going 💪🏼
Gotta slaps take the very real risk that players can get injured in the middle of the season before final push for the playoffs.
This team is a complete mess. No quick answers. I wish this franchise would stop taking short cuts to try to win. Build a winner the right way.
Good that Petey wants to remain in blue and green.
It makes sense if management is pushing for Miller to be traded. Doesn't make sense to trade the 26 year old away. The window to contend with Miller is far smaller than with EP40.
Pretty clear to me that the Canucks are missing EP40.
Makes sense to keep the younger player.
Definitely has Cam Neely vibes. If management trades Petey, this would go down as one of the worse trades in the history of this franchise and that's saying something because there's been a LOT of bad trades that this franchise has made. Don't let this be one of them. Be smart. Petey's not the issue
team's done well considering they've battled injuries to start the season. Now Demko's back (and won against Avs), Miller's back, just waiting on some trades for reinforcement, and hoping that Hronek is back soon.
Proud of the team. They could’ve easily folded tonight. Last game of the road trip. They could’ve just mailed it in. They didn’t. They fought and clawed for that point. 9 out of a possible 12 points is pretty impressive.
It would be strange for Miller to play for team USA, but took time away from the actual organization that employs and pays him. So he’s healthy enough to play for team USA but not the Canucks?
Canucks first. If he plays for team USA and then gets injured again. His season is definitely over. And Canucks might as well be sellers.
Keep up the good work @julieroys.bsky.social!
That’s a really good and promising sign for the young man. Maybe he has a future in the NHL after all?
