No, I crochet after. Sometimes I crochet to a podcast but I do the squares for each book after.
Circe was incredible. I love Madeline Miller and can’t wait for Persephone. The Bog Wife . . . I really liked until the end. Too many loose threads (and I like ambiguous endings but this wasn’t that). It just sort of- stopped. Not bad just a disappointing ending. #booksky #crochetsky

An evil witch pulls her wand and casts a spell at a princess's prince, saying: "I CURSE YOUR PRINCE TO BECOME A WOMAN! NOW YOU SHALL NEVER BE TOGETHER HAHAHAHA!!!" And the green clouds of magic split apart, the fabric of the endless multiverses is ripped open, matter falls to its knees and reality itself bends at the hands of the Sorceress... The prince now had become a woman, to the amusement of the witch who laughed in joy. But... To the surprise of the witch, the princess did not look disappointed or even confused, quite the contrary... The witch was dealing with a bisexual princess! "THAT'S EVEN BETTER!!! YOU LOOK PERFECT DEAR!!!", said the smitten and joyful princess to her new girlfriend. The former prince happily agreed: "I AGREE!! THANK YOU, MISS WITCH!!!", to the confusion of the evil sorceress who could only say: "Uh... You're welcome?". And the two women lived happily ever after!

My 8th square! I’ve been watching Little Women at Yule for the past few years but I had never read it before. Boy, do I wish I had read it as a teen to compare! I loved this cozy book about sisters. And, as a new mom, Marmie hit me really hard. 💚

A teacher in Warrick County is speaking out after Indiana Governor Mike Braun removed Dolly Parton’s “Imagination Library” from the state’s budget. Imagination Library is a book-gifting program for children under 5 in hopes of fostering early literacy. With the pending removal from the state’s budget, the program will have no funding to get books into the hands of families.
