The New Yorker interview with Louis CK is rubbish. The article manages to make him sound like an absolutely shit hack comedian and then keeps saying "but he is HILARIOUS, more than ever!" PS His book sounds genuinely terrible and the bit where he said he didn't have a wank for months was bullshit.

Reviews are only one small part of it though, especially with so few reviewers and limited resource. If we're talking about promoting shows more broadly, figuring out different approaches, features, radio, round-ups etc it is useful to have the know-how
Paying thousands of pounds for PR at the Fringe should ✨️not✨️ be the only way to be noticed.
What about paying £15 for an in depth breakdown on doing it yourself from a PR and a journalist??? 😃
Paying for a PR for Edinburgh Fringe is just not an option for a lot of people. Doing your own PR may seem really daunting, but there's loads you *can* do yourself.

Comedy is still full of men like Russell Brand, not even close to being as famous or influential as him, but still protected, lauded even. I hoped the documentary and investigation might open that up to scrutiny, but it never did. It is still happening
