I know there are data repositories like Dandi for ephys, but are there known repositories for behavioral studies? Like where people put trial-wise behavior for individual subjects?

My new piece in Nature Human Behavior: "We need to fight for the next generation of US researchers"
All trainees need 3 things to thrive. In the US, those things have been ripped away. Let's brainstorm and fight to get them back.

we're crowd-sourcing a searchable repository of tangible benefits stemming from federally-funded research. Come enjoy the great stories; or send in an idea; or volunteer to join the team.

please share and re-share so we get more great stories in there!
We're excited to welcome so many people to the 2025 Spring #ADRCMeeting in San Francisco and virtually! Our general session days start tomorrow with the Administrators Session at 8 am PT. Haven't registered yet? There's still time to attend virtually! web.cvent.com/event/dfd228...
Has βmany analystβ #research been done on quaLitative #data?
How much do *independent* teams of qualitative coders/analyzers converge/diverge when trying to answer one question with one dataset?
Suggestions (and self-promotion) welcome.

Alzheimer's research funding is in the DOGE crosshairs, putting invaluable datasets (including tens of thousands of genomes) and biorepositories at risk. This reflects the volunteer efforts of thousands of research participants over four decades. Please contact your reps/senators. Hands off NIH.

I hope you will all join me in expressing your thanks to the NIH and NSF staff who are working in an impossibly difficult and chaotic environment to keep science going in our country.
Speechless. Currently in the hospital as the Pediatric Infectious Disease Attending & access to vital info is limited. My duty to each child that I take care of is to have to most up to date information - in order to provide the best possible care. This is unacceptable

I want to build an #MRIsafety starter pack. If you are an MRMD, MRSO, MRSE, or otherwise deeply involved in #MRI safety, please reply with your interest!

If youβve been directly impacted by a pause or cancellation of an NIH study session, we @forbes.com would like to talk to you
Hearing that a lot of NIH study section and council meetings are being cancelled.
In the spirit of @nicolecrust.bsky.social βs call to action for scicomm, if you have found yourself with a few extra hours today, consider making a video or writing an op-ed on why research matters. π

Yeah your brain too, from an MRI! I've done it a few times
Compared to neuroscience, the data situation in remote sensing/geospatial work is pretty cool

Hi Internet! I'm Drew and THIS IS MY FACE.
If this GIF has ever brought you joy in the past, I humbly ask you to consider making a donation to the National MS Society. It would mean a lot to me and to those I know affected by the disease!

I've got this too, somehow - it was a gift from someone I'm no longer in contact with for unrelated reasons. We call it the "Cursed Scroll". It's so wierd - just insane hubris.
Looking for help on how to efficiently process LOTS of insect field specimens. Currently, we pin insect w/hand written site/date label then ID insect w/hand written label then create new printed labels w/unique ID #. Seems inefficient! Does anyone have a better workflow that they can share? THX!
Last week, NeuroImage invited me to join their team as Associate Editor, providing me an opportunity to put some perspectives into writing. I declined and clarified why. Here is the exchange as I wanted to share more broadly. www.thebrainblog.org/2023/11/23/i...

Hi #neuroskyence, are you developing training in comp neuro, data sci, data management, or neuroinformatics? Please consider sending your work to the special collection at Neuroinformatics, guest edited by INCF.org 's (social media shy) Mathew Abrams! link.springer.com/collections/... Please repost!
