Companies love money!! Why just get the collector’s edition money when you could also get MORE money?

But it’s been this way the whole time. (Though they used to give cash refunds to your payment method.)

Not to say it isn’t ridiculous. It punishes the game’s biggest fans. But all Blizzard has done about it over the years is make it easier to get a refund. (Which I believe is in battlenet balance, not cash.)

This is the messy way collector’s editions usually work, because your game key is inside the box and you don’t get the box until launch.
