Proud to announce on World AIDS Day today that our 2025 update to Canadian guideline on HIV PrEP and PEP is now published in @cmaj.ca! The guideline include 31 recommendations and 10 good practice statements to support clinical decision making.

Fresh from the podium at EACS 2025 in Paris: Doxycycline PEP was associated with a sustained positive impact on syphilis and chlamydia incidence but also increases in gonorrhea AMR in the open label extension of the DoxyVAC trial among GBM in France.

....I think your preferences make sense and are evidence-based! But people's values and preferences differ, and factors like cost and feasibility are also important. GRADE asks panels to consider it all, and to explain their thinking transparently. We wanted to promote 'PrEP choice' - stay tuned!
Great feedback @benoitlemire.bsky.social! Some things evolved since the Sep 2024 version - for instance, the updated recommendations are indeed framed in terms of behaviour not identity. The slightly wordy classifications come from GRADE (www.gradeworkinggroup.org). As for preferred regimens...
