any news on the API? I applied as interested about a year ago, but haven't heard anything yet

We've refreshed our documentation - the new homepage is now a nice overview of all commands. Check it out if you haven't yet:

Don't really think there is a point in brigading a random survey targeted at moderators, I feel like Discord is already quite aware that there isn't a point in implementing random AI stuff given their previous attempts didn't end up making it
Surprised nobody in this thread seems aware that Discord has already done some experiments with AI about 2-3 years ago that never really went anywhere (see AI Clyde and conversation summaries)
thanks! Luckily I have an older dataset I can switch back to from before the changes. Shame that the only public set of genres is no longer that great
@glennmcdonald.bsky.social hey, I can't dm you, but I vaguely remember you posting about Spotify returning worse genres in the API a few months ago. Do you happen to remember around what date they made this change?
Following up on this: I added the option to disable crown functionality to the default server .config command :)
Congrats!
There is an option that is somewhat hidden which completely disables crowns on a server, '.togglecrowns'. not a bad idea to make that a bit more visible
Rainy day in Kanazawa
It's pretty difficult to encourage people to just listen to whatever they want to listen to. It feels a bit like the only thing I can do is not gameify it more
I work on fmbot and I think about stuff like this quite a bit. It's also why I haven't further 'gameified' albums and tracks in the same way as artists, and why I somewhat regret adding global charts. Personally though I don't adjust my music listening for others, but I do see a lot of people who do
welkom welkom welkom dat je kijkt
Thank you, I can see why! Onwards to Kyoto now
