AEC disclosures show more than $138 million in political funding in 2024β25 had no declared source under the current rules.
When dark money & big donors shape our politics, public trust suffers. Australians deserve govts that are not fundraising from industries that profit when policy is weakened.
The violent scenes that played out in central Sydney last night were deeply troubling, and entirely foreseeable.
We are Australians, first and foremost. Inviting a foreign head of state to Australia when the consequences for social cohesion are so obvious shows a serious failure of judgment.
Parliament returns for Week 2!
As always, Iβll assess each bill on its merits β is it workable, evidence-based, and in the best interests of Warringah & Australia?

Inflation pressures remain persistent.
In 2024β25, the Govt handed out $12.5 billion in fossil fuel subsidies. Itβs time to rethink priorities.
We need smarter, climate-aligned budgeting that delivers real cost-of-living relief and invests in Australiaβs future.
The public wants accountability and the issue of femicide and intimate partner violence elevated. Only a national RC will ensure state and territory responses, funding, policing, all failures, all policies, are scrutinised.

The Govt rushed legislation on firearms and hate crimes. While I had serious concerns about the process and moved amendments to strengthen the laws, I ultimately supported the Bills in the interests of public safety and social cohesion. Read my statement to better understand my amendments and vote.

Australia is making progressβbut we must accelerate our transition to clean energy.
We need urgent action:
β
Stronger targets for transport, agriculture and aviation
β
A Sustainable Aviation Fuel mandate
β
Accurate monitoring of methane
Itβs been over 2 years since the late Peta Murphyβs inquiry into online gambling advertising & how it affects problem gamblers. Since then, Australians have lost $60 billion to gambling.
Australians need a government with the will and the courage to protect them from gambling harms.
This week is the final sitting week for 2025.
βοΈIβll be debating & moving an amendment to the Streaming Services Bill, which sets local content requirements for streaming services.
βοΈIβll also move an amendment to the Draught Beer Excise Bill to better recognise local producers.
Stay tuned!
Thereβs a lot of misinformation being spread and it's communities who pay the price.
We need honest, science-based leadership that brings communities together and delivers a clean, secure energy future.

More than 100 leaders have signed an open letter calling on the Albanese Government to back the COP30 MutirΓ£o roadmap to phase out fossil fuels.
With over 80 nations already on board, Australia must choose: lead with integrity or fall further behind as the world moves on from coal and gas.
Regardless of whether Aus co-hosts COP31, we must continue to accelerate the transition to a clean & safe future. That includes phasing out coal & gas, stopping the approval of new fossil fuel projects, & investing in climate adaptation so that communities can cope with the challenges ahead.

The Govt has declared domestic violence a national emergency - now we need an emergency response.
One woman is killed every four days by a current or former partner. That is unacceptable

As world leaders meet at COP30 to strengthen climate ambition, the Liberal Party has announced it will abandon Net Zero.
Itβs reckless and out of touch with community.
You canβt claim to accept climate science while walking away from the action it demands.
The Liberal Partyβs decision to abandon Australiaβs net-zero by 2050 target is reckless and a massive step backwards.

The Govt voted against my amendments to the EPBC Actβmissing a crucial opportunity to modernise our environmental laws.
My amendments involved:
* Climate financial risk disclosures
* A duty of care to future generations
* Assessment of cumulative impacts
* Fair appeal rights under enviro orders
The govtβs environment laws ignore the biggest threat to nature - climate change. Iβve proposed several amendments, including requiring climate-related financial & transition risk disclosure as a consideration for all approvals, as well as embedding a duty of care for wellbeing of future generations
Disappointed by the govtβs rushed push to pass a 1,500-page environment bill without proper scrutiny or consultation. This is a key chance to protect nature & embed climate accountabilityβbut the bill falls short.

Great news! The govt will finally introduce local content rules for streaming platforms. This is a huge win for Aussie stories, jobs and our screen industry. Proud to have stood alongside actors, creators and so many others who helped push for this outcome. Itβs a great day for Australian stories.
