Don’t discount the contributions he made in the 80s. Past his prime? You betcha. But still getting it done when he needed to — while also mentoring, inspiring, and just leading by example at all times. His late season run as part of the Philly “Wheez Kids” with Rose and Perez was truly remarkable.

Where’s my refund???
I have never been to Spring Training. It’s a hole in my life. I hear what you are saying but I may need to learn the hard way. I will admit that for about the past 25 years it seems few people make the club based on an amazing Spring Training. Most decisions, outside of injuries, are predetermined.
I will be regrouting my toilets. Time much better spent.

I’m on the West Coast. I don’t think they have that here. I have switched to ciders - which I prefer to all GF beers I have tried. Ireland makes some great cider. I love Magners. But - can’t get that on the West Coast either.
I’m now gluten free and therefore I’m also envious. I make sure to still buy Smithwicks for my wife when I can find it but unfortunately living in California finding Magners Cider (my Smithwicks replacement) is completely out of the question. So then it’s double envy. Can’t have & also can’t have.
Need to add a little sumptin sumptin to the coffee - then things will feel more ….. appropriate ….

Soccer (football) is more important than religion and even family in so much of the world. For any leader to boycott the World Cup, they may end up with a revolt on their hands. Plus — the games will be in the US, Canada and Mexico — so 2 out of 3 countries that they won’t be upset with.
