I went to listen to son playing guitar at the opening of shopping centre -2020 before we had some lunch.

High in Jotunheimen where snow and ice remain through much of the year. A harsh and silent landscape where wind, cold and height shape the mountains and remind us how powerful nature can be.

Exploring wild places on the north side of the Torridonian giants

This was the first time I had seen people fishing there. The water birds were keeping away from this part of the water. There are normally coots, ducks, swans gulls and, in the reeds nearby, grebes. Although it had been a sunny day the sun was going down and the water must have been freezing cold.

Earlier this week I posted a photo through a bird hide where no birds were to be seen. I later walked a short distance round the pond and think I found the reason why.
