i just wanted you to know i trolled your timeline to find this again because it was such a great way of explaining part of the issue with gen-ai that seems to get left out of the online shouting matches, and i like it so much it's now one of like 3 bluesky bookmarks just so i'm sure i don't lose it
I started using 'AttackBox' and 'HitBox' with the most recent project, though it was also the first time I really had 'getting-hit-boxes' distinct from the tile-collision-box to start with.

I kind of agree with the abstract point here, and as a “LLMs can’t really do most of this work” person I’m not really concerned. But I do think it’s more complex: the most LLM-friendly devs are advocating for having “agents” write the code for you and then you edit it. But I like craft!

everyone play Puzzle Depot. the devs @laughingmanatee.bsky.social are excellent (expertly coded, runs buttery-smooth, and CHECK OUT THAT PIXEL ART). (also I'm ~30% of the OST, my part among my best work ever. all the music is bangers. i'm biased but it's true)

I think what’s important to understand about parenting discourse is that, as someone who doesn’t have a child, it’s obviously parents who are selfishly caring about their own needs over others. But if I ever have a kid, it will be childless people doing that.
