There have been already plenty of posts outline all these issues, but I just want to vent. This bubble has to pop. And for everyone flocking in to defend LLM's and other genAI technology, yes, there are legitimate use cases. But this aint it. And especially not in this scale. This is just absurd.

AI is doing, is harming everyone. It's making games more mediocre if used, it's pushing people out of jobs, FOSS projects are drowing in AI PRs and it's making it impossible for the people that wanna play our games in the first place to actually play them on hardware they own! You cannot defend that

These materials are harder to get. With this, computing is becoming unaffordable for the average consumer. Consoles also will increase in price. Gaming will be even more of a luxury as before. It is absurd and crazy to me that people still defend AI, especially in the games industry, when all that

The push for AI is the reason currently for all types of shortages. You might have heard about the increased costs for PC components such as RAM, GPU's, SSD's now also HDD's and some CPUs. But for all the data centers there is also an increased demand for aluminium and copper for cooling.

The AI bubble RAM crisis is caused for non-existent problems by non-existent money for a non-existent infrastructure to meet non-existent demand to make non-existent business and will utterly destroy real business based on real demand and real infrastructure built with real money for real problems.

As for my own #PortfolioDay, Im still chugging along with my more recent work under NDA but always happy to share my work from 9 years ago! My latest personal work was running the Timmy Day 2025 event which involved several months of environmental art & animating cinematics for a large stream event.

I beat Wario Land 4 as well earlier, once normally and in a multiworld randomizer again. Its a fun game and big part of my childhood, it was a blast to play it again. You all should give it a shot if you never played it, it's such a great 2D platformer and simply a good game.

I managed to finish Pseudoregalia earlier. Neat little game sadly a bit short. Very good movement and a banger soundtrack. Can just recommend it for anyone who likes platformers+metroidvanias

Thats super cool! I recently got into multiworld randos myself, lots of fun.

I have never ever thought that I would eventually write young adult fiction as part of studies. But it surprisingly is fun. I have forgotten how much I loved writing and reading books in the past. That love started to be rekindled again. Probably also the reason why I gravitated to YA as a genre.

I finally took my time to full nuke all of my Twitter. Good riddance.

What worked for me was enabling 2fa. Afterwards it let me download an archive. Tried it yesterday and it finally worked that way.

Its broken for me as well. I assume its malicious intend.
