I had presidents day off, and I wanted to make a little thing that felt like one of those cool Toonami commercials while my delicious pulled pork slowcooked.
Did I succeed? Idk but the pork is good at least

I find that when I am struggling to "do the thing," a reminder that it is still the only option, regardless of my struggle, is very helpful to me.
Hopefully this is the same for you. I bet lots of people would find great joy in your project, if only you'd just finish it ;)
You gotta do it anyway, or decide it is just for fun and you don't plan on releasing the thing. Just power through, or get help and no longer be a solo dev.
Once you finish the thing, though, you get to to back to the fun juicy stuff again.
Your art direction here I think should follow what your creative intent is. What should playing your game feel like?
