It's happening. As a graphic designer I'm heartbroken that companies want experience with gen AI for jobs.
I did not study for years + have years of experience as a graphic designer for this shit.

This year I really, TRULY want to get back into art. I've had enough of the pain, the frustration and sadness of a near decade of art block. Being unable to create art like I used to. Losing the skills I'd built up through that disuse to.
I'm going to try to fall back in love with art again.
I ended up going back to uni to do graphic design, I'm now a graphic designer full time which is amazing and i love my job!
It's just not the same.
I used to always have ideas, inspiration and the energy to draw or paint or take photos.
It dried up and I was mourning the person I was. I lost a large part of my identity.
It's been 10 years since I felt art block and the loss of my full creativity. I did 2 years of art school and I unfortunately came out defeated and burnt out.
It's really, really hard when you're whole life up to thst point revolved around being an artist/drawer.
- make video content this year
- take better care of my mental health
- go for daily walks (or every second day)
- start a junk journal
- keep up with a budget
- the big one: fall back in love with art again
I'm starting to make some goals for 2025 and I feel like I might actually achieve them? Most are small anyway but!! This is kinda big for me because I don't make goals
