I've read Ben for 12 years. This is the most wrong I think he's ever been. He preaches about incentives and competition in capitalism being one of the greatest incentives. Yet his whole argument ignores that there are competitors, and in fact OpenAI stepped right in when Anthropic pushed back.

I know I’m being broad. I imagine in the same ways some speech can be deemed harmful that is not protected by the first amendment today, such as incitement to violence, defamation, or harassment.
I agree with you that any individual piece of content amplified by the algorithm should be protected. The problem to me is aggregate amplification as a result of algorithm design. Algorithms can be designed to amplify harmful content and companies should be liable for such.

Based on the reporting, most of the incidents have been when the robots were stationary. So the robots aren't getting into scrapes with humans, but more accurately humans are assaulting the robots

We were greeted by the kindest, most calming and warm soul who helped us understand what was happening and showed deep care for us and my Dad. He continued to show utmost patience and kindness over the next few days as my Dad remained in the ICU and we were there continually. It was Alex Pretti, the man shot today by ICE. If you see this video and don't think it's murder, I don't understand your thinking and ask you to question your heart. He was out there trying to help and protect and from the little we knew of him, it doesn't surprise me he was not afraid to be on the front lines of this horrible scene in our Minneapolis. Weeping for his family and all those at the VA who no longer get to work with him or receive his care.
