We also highlight (1) inconsistencies in the experimental evidence we do have from studies of adults, (2) reasons to doubt that bans will keep youth off social media, (3) possible unintended consequences of bans, and (4) our responsibility to use robust methods to assess the impacts of these bans.

The biggest stunner that we report in this manuscript is that there have been ZERO experimental studies of IRL social media restriction in youth. None!!! We do not know how these bans will affect youth.

Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital.
