Where does the narrator go in this moment?
Is he speaking about himself? Or is it all linemen? And if the later, then why use "the"?
I like the fact that he introduces himself right from the start by his occupation and for whom he works.
Also, I like that he is aware he needs a vacation. Even just a small one.

CDN GenX elder (1969). Iβm going to say the flip betw the 70s to the 80s was wild. One day youβre in a field listening to bluegrass surrounded by smoke & hippy parents & boom youβre working in a food court at the mall surrounded by brand names & Casey Kasem saving for that university degree
I ate a truly delicious sandwich today.
