The hyena tribes originally sought an alliance with the crocodile clan in order to have a powerful ally against the lion empire in the south. But as the sexual prowess of the crocodile males became known among the tribes, the arrangement took on a very different character.
Despite the bellicose nature of both clans, the crocodiles and the hyenas have a longstanding alliance. So these crocodile lads are showing some respect to a local hyena matriarch, who is rather tickled at the younger men's spoiling her.
