Had a great time in Aberystwyth on Friday - including popping in to see my friends at Waterstones, signing some of my books and seeing The Hunters Club in very good company on the crime fiction hardback table!
Highly recommended - one of the best historical novels I've ever read - and for far less than the price of a cup of coffee!
Indeed...
Let's hope so!
Agreed. Never more evident than when Tony Blair took us into Iraq at Bush's behest.
I fear you're right. The extreme right wing American genie is out of the bottle now and it isn't going back, whoever's in charge. We need to rejoin the EU as a matter of urgency because our so called 'special relationship', if it ever existed, is now a thing of the past.
Many thanks to Anne & Emma at Murder & Mayhem in Hay on Wye π Seeing so many of my books (in both series) face out on the shelves and being asked to sign them all was such a lovely surprise. I'd only gone in to see if they had any second hand Phil Rickmans to complete our Merrily Watkins collection!
Thanks so much for the repost - it's much appreciated!
It's always lovely to see my books 'in the wild' π Here's The Hunters Club (I always want to put an apostrophe in the title but that's an argument I lost...)the third in my Oxford Mysteries series featuring young Welsh polymath Rhiannon Vaughan and her partner in crime, Jesus College don, Basil Rice
Felicia Skene - what a woman! Thanks for the photo, Manu xx
So grateful to my friend and fellow historical crime fiction author Chris Lloyd for this!
Thank you so much, Chris!
Well a few more posts like this wouldn't go amiss! Thank you so much, Manu! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it π
Hear, hear, James. Also seething... AND IT IS NOT INEVITABLE!!
Thanks Alex - looking forward very much to our chat!
Really looking forward to this event at Waterstones in Hereford βΊοΈ
Really looking forward to this!
Beautiful!
Many congratulations to all those who have been working so hard behind the scenes to make this happen.

Unknown creatures spotted lounging on the top of a pillar box in Ledbury yesterday.
I was in town to appear with @claremackwrites.bsky.social at Ledburied, run by Lindsay Jackson of Ledbury Books & Maps and lovely crime writer @sarahhilary.bsky.social.
Many thanks to them all for a great evening!
OMG, I really need to proof read my comments better!!
Coming up tomorrow - Neath Town Hall - 12.15 as part of Neath Arts Festival. It's going to be fun!
Fingers crossed the child doesn't develop, Liz!
Sorry to have missed two of my best pals in conversation. Congratulations @alishawkinsauthor.bsky.social on βThe Hunters Clubβ!
