Anyway Maximus was my favorite character and storyline in S1, I'm very nervous given how much more fan attention has gone towards ✨️The Ghoul✨️. But the contrarian in me gets suspicious whenever a show/movie/game etc seems to REALLY want you to like a character AND (crucially) think they're cool

it's just. In the slow-motion, heavily emphasized promo shot for the season trailer? the one that (I swear) is also a cheeky little nod to the sniping NCR Ranger in the New Vegas trailer? cmon....uplift the women of your local wasteland 👏💁‍♀️

Now I'm in a research pit made out of the necessity of DIYing colonial history resources together. It's taken me from 19th c. western medical history to the Crusades and, back & forth again, to my family's island(s) history in the Visayas.

A few years ago, I started writing a gothic horror novel. I wanted to explore the parasitic nature of colonialism through the POV of a Regency-era heiress of color (and see how far I could go with a Filipina-British protag).

Makes total sense! And in fairness, I suppose probably neither test are very "fun" for the patient 😅
