Not sure what prompted this but, just to say, I love your work and your genuine enthusiasm for creating. Can’t wait to see what you’ve got coming.

I keep getting these weird Tai Chi ads on YouTube, where an AI potential customer asks an AI instructor about the apparent benefits of their product. Who the hell is paying for an exercise service where the company isn't willing to show anyone real!?
The House of Lords Digital & Communications Committee just published their report on AI, copyright & the creative industries, and their conclusions could not be clearer.

I really, really, really hope a lot of American readers pick up the upcoming collection(s) of Alan Moore's 2000 AD work. They'll get a surprise, I think.
For the @theobserveruk.bsky.social today the third part of my cancer journey, detailing my operation.

A friend of writers in the #HouseOfLords - thanks to our Chair Tim Clement-Jones for highlighting the need for an #AI license to better protect the work of creators 🙏
We're keenly awaiting the government's report and economic analysis of #ArtificialIntelligence and #Coypright, due later this month.
1941 character sheet for head shots of The Man Of Steel himself for the splendid Fleischer Studios Superman cartoons.
Love me some Lemire.
This cannot be allowed to happen.

On this, fellow writers, what do we all think is essential to a good website? In a newsletter? I need to look into both but can never decide what I think people want to see.
I'll admit I might be biased on that one, as I lost my brother around that time, but I like it a lot. It hits me hard.
We quite often look back to the 70s and 80s to say "Wow, that Director had such an unprecedented run of great films. You don't get that now." Ryan Coogler is currently on a run of five. We don't talk about that enough. He might be the most consistently brilliant writer/director working today.
An Adventure In Space and Time, a BBC TV film about the origins of the show Doctor Who
Just watched An Adventure In Space and Time and they’ve edited in Ncuti Gatwa at the end. Which is kinda cool but then also makes we wish we’d got the same for Jodie Whittaker and Peter Capaldi. Either way, entertaining watch.

Lovely review of the closing chapter of our latest Armitage story by @thecomicon.bsky.social! And brilliant summary for almost all the breadcrumbs laid…
Additional thought, I think it says something about the state of music when the first ep back used a track that’s almost 25 years old. I get it works for this episode but I beg and pray the episodes to come highlight some new talent.
This will most likely be the first Pokemon game I play with my child. I want them to utterly fall in love with it like I did at their age. (Unless they don't want to and then that's cool.)
My hope for a new mainline Pokemon Game: either intentionally strip it back and just return to the birds-eye view OR really embrace the open world and make that world feel living and breathing and entirely unique to Pokemon.
Love Fire Red! All my childhood nostalgia with additional pretty colours and quality of life features.
Really enjoyed the Scrubs reboot, feels like a new season rather than a completely new start. Though you do think Elliot might have been in the running for Cox’s decision (intentionally vague) Can’t wait to see what’s to come. I want a good gut punch ep.

DONG!
The crowd erupts.
Commentator: "Oh my gawd! It's The Undertaker! The Undertaker is here! And he is no doubt about to hand out a serious ass whoop-- Oh, no wait, he's just inviting someone into the Hall of Fame again."
My wife literally just found out segue was spelt that way last month. Her mum still struggles to pronounce 'cumin' though. No joke.
How are you pronouncing it, mate? I'm intrigued. Especially if it's the way I'm now imagining.
No, Pokemon can't be 30 because that would make me... Oh God.
Got my comps of The Dredd Megazine #489 today. Behind a lovely cover by the late & sadly missed Dave Taylor are (among others) the final part of Armitage:Drokk The Ripper by @liamjohnsontype.bsky.social & yours truly, and a Black Museum tale with outstanding art by @blitzcadet.bsky.social .

Dick Tracy 16 Variant Cover
Concept was to homage a famous crime / noir movie poster. So I picked one of the best ever - Scarface.
Now *that* is something we should pitch.
