I learned the answer as a kid from an episode of The Tick animated show and this fact has somehow never left my brain

Also, as an editor (don't do much of that these days), I prioritized feedback bc of my freelance experiences. Admittedly, it took me some time to get the formula right, but whenever I have the chance, I make sure to emphasize the importance of feedback from editors to freelancers.
