THE DAY HAS ARRIVED and I'm straight on that Early Access
THE DAY HAS ARRIVED and I'm straight on that Early Access
I think this is my favourite non-Metroid Metroidvania. I absolutely love this game. I really should try the sequel.
Pretty much everything I ever wanted in a Metroidvania. Spectacular game, and it looks great on CRT. ๐
I'm going to try this. Praying I don't get scone crumbs on my OLED
The first game I played on it was Slay the Spire, the Greatest Game Of All-Time.
I misread this initially as "Hey I arrived on Bluesky" and I was thinking What the hell Paul Darbyshire imposter have I been following all this time?! ๐
Steam Deck delivery!
Installing my library to the Steam Deck
Day off work, it's a beautiful day and the sun is shining! But... my new Steam Deck has just been delivered, so... ๐
Arkanoid: Doh It Again on SFC.
A moment please, to appreciate the majesty of the SFC Arkanoid box art. ๐
Finished Small Prophets tonight, what a fantastically original TV series. Don't you just love a programme that can't easily be pinned to one genre.
I'm currently eyeing up Simogo Legacy Collection. I reckon it'll be a good fit on my Switch 2...
I first bought Edge magazine back in 1993 and never stopped. This account is dedicated to celebrating over 30 years of gaming history by revisiting 400+ issues of one of the industry's most distinctive voices.
Expect scans, excerpts, some brutal reviews, and plenty of talk about the good old days.
Looks like I picked the correct week to order a Steam Deck
That's a good point ๐ I had to double check, but yes, the inside page clarifies this is the 80s edition.
Yep all 80s. I don't know if a 90s version will follow?
Yep, great films, and he was a Bond ahead of his time, I reckon. People weren't ready for a more 'real' Bond.
Lots of details on some classic 80s arcade cabinets. I remember being addicted to the chaos of this one, Rampage!
Got to warn you, this set up heavily reduces your productivity. Now, if something was *removed* ...
Arcade Decades book
This is a hefty book! Looking forward to reading about the games I used to play in my youth, while wishing my ZX Spectrum could achieve the same.
The Switch 2 officially makes it easier to Buy More Games ๐
Anyone on the fence about upgrading to a Switch 2, I just want to say it's worth it alone for the fact the eShop experience is so much smoother and you don't actually feel like pulling your eyeballs out when you visit it.
With DQ especially, as I'd not played a DQ game before, or indeed much in the way of JRPGs. But I enjoyed the demo so much, I now find myself launching into an untapped franchise.
Free playable demos absolutely work. I wouldn't have ordered Dragon Quest VII Reimagined or Pragmata if I hadn't had a chance to try them first.
Classic Amiga Power magazine content; in this case, the writer of the "Complete Control" tips section clarifying that he... doesn't like the Complete Control tips section.
I downloaded the free demo of Pragmata on Switch 2, with my only knowledge of the game being the recent Edge cover feature. What a blast! It looks to offer unique gameplay elements and an interesting story. I enjoyed it enough to preorder the game (due for release in April).
Indiana Jones on Switch 2
Apparently it's the full game on the cart. Great news. Indy would be pleased, we all know the two things he hates are snakes and game key cards.
They really are!
Never played a DQ game before trying the free Switch demo, and now look what I've gone and bought!
I'd never even considered playing a Dragon Quest game until I tried the free demo... and now look what I've bought.
Commodore sponsored Chelsea shirt
Commodore sponsored Chelsea shirt, this one with AMIGA written across it
My young son is a big Chelsea fan, and for Christmas we got him a Stamford Bridge tour. I confess I'm not that into football, but the tour was fantastic... the thing that got me most excited though was seeing the old sponsored-by-Commodore player shirts ๐
