I'll add in my compromise position:

As much as I enjoy traditional Minnesota winters, having it be just warm enough for me to go into my garage without advice from Ernest Shackleton is nice.

(Especially since I'm trying to reorganize said garage.)

In a better world, more folks would be sufficiently educated to do their own critical thinking.

It's frequently not folks' personal fault that they can't.

AND we can't bleed ourselves dry trying to reach maybe ONE receptive person in a crowd of thousands.

Hi, Joe! If you haven't done so already/aren't familiar with it, it's worth doing an image search for "Totenkopf" and reading the Wikipedia article (subsection Nazi Germany) for the baseline context of the symbol.

This is essential knowledge to have - ideally BEFORE reading Platner-specific stuff.
