It can be hard sticking up for yourself, bc you have your impostor syndrome and demons, but it’s very easy sticking up for the people under your charge. I also recognize all the struggles I had as an IC, so I pave the way for people to find their voice.
I'm voting "may no have gained consciousness."
Here’s what my dentist charges.
The first volume is without membership. The second column us with membership (which is £20 a month).
Just been listening to this 99PI podcast on the trend of Americans travelling down to Mexico for dental treatment. Got me wondering how much typical dental treatments in the US costs?

Really like the colour pallet.
Last week I toasted some hot cross buns in the toaster and now everything I make toast the house smells of slightly burnt hot cross buns in spice.

We live in a messed up world.

So the next election in 3 years is likely to be a reset of the old order. And this is the first indication of what that might look like.
The UK has always had two party politics. This is really the first time that the old parties of Labour and The Conservatives are no longer dominant, and so we're seeing the rise of Reform (far right) and the Greens.
As such this win for the Greens may be an indication that if Labour drop the ball at the next election, the Greens may be able to prevent a reform win. But they may also end up splitting the vote, causing a Reform win.
The Green part has always been a minority party. In fact up until this last election my home town of Brighton was basically the only Green seat. However they have a new populist leader (an ex hypnotist who used to claim he could make women's breasts bigger. No shit.)
By-elections (which are usually triggered when the sitting MP dies/retires) are usually a bellwether of sentiment. With the Conservatives in disarray, Reform have been growing in strength and look increasingly likely to win a future election (the Russians / Republicans will be very happy about this)
Labour have also taken many minority groups votes for granted over the years, as those minorities would never vote Conservative or Reform (because racism). However Labour's stance on Gaza has broken ties/trust with those communities, allowing the Greens to swoop in and hoover up those votes.
However they are never going to be as right wing as The Conservatives and Reform, so were never going to win those right wing voters back anyway. However in skewing right they've also alienated their liberal Middle Class voters, many of whom have now defected to The Green Party.
The Labour party was traditionally the party of the working class and so has socialist and union roots. However a lot of working class voters switched initially to The Conservatives, and then later Reform. In order to win them back Labour started persuing more right wing policies and talking points.

Fun podcast chat between me and the wonderful @jessicahische.bsky.social on her founder journey bootstrapping @studioworks.app
This chart perfectly outlines my view on AI. While some people believe it will lead to universal prosperity and others the end of civilisation, I suspect the most likely case (in the near term at least) is a small boost to productivity.
Love that venue as well
Quite rare to see a chart that says quite so overtly that no one involved has the slightest clue what’s happening here
Likewise. Happy birthday sir. Will buy you a cupcake to celebrate on Friday.
For something more affordable the Cordis (formally the Langham) is perfectly serviceable.

Might be tempted to try the new Soho House.

Last trip I stayed here. Seem to remember it being in a reasonable location. Rooms were comfortable although very international so lacking local flavour. Remember the breakfast buffet being pretty good ;)

I’m not voting Labour because their candidate only gave the minimum tip at a restaurant.
I’m not voting Conservative because their candidate failed to raise their hat and say good morning to me.
I’m not voting Reform because they turned up to our rally in a poorly ironed robe.
