A lone Photographer walking along the beautiful Bamburgh Beach on Sunday morning. The beautiful warm light from the sunrise that eventually turned up after it stalled a few times.
The Photographer
Good day folks, an image from the same morning as my post of Bamburgh the other day. A lone Photographer, a few birds and other walkers and dogs in the distance on this beach morning.

Well done Ian, cracking winner.
Cheers mate, yeah loved that wee bit myself. I hot loads still to go through. Class location.
Hahaha brilliant, who doesn't love a wee pub in the right place haha.
Thanks Fraz, was definitely a good decision not to go back to bed ha ha.
Hahaha I've never won it yet, so I'm not counting my chickens π. Well I take my hat off to you, i bet it wasn't warm. I remember camping in my only Mazda 3 for 3 nights back in my late 20s, not sure i could do it now. My body is fragile hahahah.

A dramatic image taken on Sunday morning at Bamburgh Castle, a small opening in the sky was beginning to emerge, which added some golden hues to the stones in the foreground, as the incoming tide poured over the rocks. Bamburgh itself in the distance.
Definitely worth getting up at 4:30am to drive to Bamburgh Castle. The conditions weren't initially great but the mood factor was up there and that often does it for me more. Captured the flow of water as it spilled over the rocks, with some light bursting through.

Ooooft beautiful
Well done @stevepalmer.photography this is a stunner.
I love the tones achieved with infrared and a red filter on the slide film here! Itβs been a while since I went to Pitlochry but itβs a happy place for me. And with the composition and toning youβve also transported me to the East! Perhaps itβs partly that today is Luna New Year, but I am very much reminded of Chinese and Japanese art depicting mountains and lakes in just this colour palette π₯°
I am transported to a place of tranquility and warmth in this image Steve! Even though I know just how noisy a bunch of black headed gulls can be π€ A frozen moment in time, edged with gold π And a great example of how an often ignored bird can be shown at its beautiful best by the choices made in composition, POV, light conditions and using a fast (used) new lens that you obviously love!
A wonderful example of the power of a portrait aspect for a landscape image and use of a single colour palette. The tones are so evocative of the blue hour at this time of year. I really love the contrast between the soft and sumptuous skies and the crisp and detailed foreground, with the silhouetted tree and textured bare field, delineated by the sprinkling of snow.
The master of puddle reflections strikes again! Showing us all that while the rain and gloom may dampen our spirits, it provides endless opportunities to see the world anew when the rain clouds clear and stillness adds a calming feel to even one of the busiest city centres!
My Top 4 #ShareMondays2026 entries this week are all great examples of how viewing the well-known world around us in a different manner can transport us all π Congrats guys ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
