Line 5 is so good!
Line 5 is so good!
CITYVAL π
It should be either:
-ICTS
-Monorail
-APM/AGT
All elevated/no underground
Then we can talk
Omgggggg πππππ
This is HOT
I also presume that but I also presumed weβd see 70 in R&T and Waterloo Park, and we donβt (40 in some cases)
So Iβd like to hear officially not just assumptions
Iβd also like to know how the costing was done to the dollar, with no deign
Will the Fairway/Traynor upgrade permit full, unrestricted 70 km/h speeds along that stretch? (Currently trains have to drop to 20 km/h at the crossing)
Waterloo eventually ended up being the launch customer for FLEXITY Freedom, and had to source and implement their own ATP system.
Bombardierβs hands were entirely tied and the delay was entirely at the hands of Rob Ford and Metrolinx.
Not true.
ML tried to squirm out of the 204 LRV order with BBD because Rob Ford cancelled Transit City. They only needed 76 for Crosstown.
ML dragged their feet on everything related to the LRV order in order to try and get out of it, including not specβing the ATP equipment.
At what point will Toronto people just cave and drive an hour west and take a look at how to actually build an operate light rail?
Like⦠can they just not conceive that someone else figured it out?
Ya love to see it! π₯° #FLEXITY
lol everyone keeps telling me βno theyβre wrongβ but literally this has been up for weeks and now GO is officially saying theyβre cancelled
GO Transit just confirmed theyβve all been cancelled except one inbound trip
Imagine if Toronto could figure out how we do in Waterloo
I love how they think itβs *your* job to contact the city π
I refuse to believe it GO is perfect and I love them
Itβs GO Transit, a formal document and it is not possible for me to accept there could be an error
So they literally quietly deleted this after a month.
Why is nobody going nuclear about this?
Please tell me Iβm missing something terribly obvious

Uh - did we just lose Weekend GO Train service in Kitchener?!
Let's switch tracks here for a bit - since I've been showing you some of the trains I've seen recently in the US, allow me to show you something else also built in North America, however, these are from Canada! π¨π¦ π

Well, Iβd sure hope so
How can we find out?
Well yes but I also canβt fathom why anyone would want the country to be more jam packed/busier/crowded
Mpreg
Would happily trade that for not being crowded and loud everywhere constantly with endless traffic and everyone being pissed off and unhappy
It blows my mind anyone wants our population to increase.
If anything, I wish things were like 50% less crowded at a bare *minimum*. You canβt go anywhere now without it just being so jammed and busy and loud and I hate it
I feel like Canada should have a population around 15-20M max
But how can this suddenly have funding allocated to the dollar, when literally nobody knows what it is?
This implies a design is already done - so why isnβt that public?
Yes, itβs been like that for several years (when they re-did the plaza with the ducks-for-arms statue and the angry-font curved red wall along the road).
