I'll get you all caught up in this thread here. Here are 4 from week 1, starting (fittingly) on Jan. 1, 2026. I went on bike rides and tried to unburden my shutter finger around my own neighborhood.

But a dropped pull in ultimate frisbee emotionally feels a lot like witnessing an American football safety.

Context: A “pull” in ultimate frisbee is like an American football kickoff. If you bobble the kickoff, it’s a live ball. But in ultimate if you attempt to catch the pull, bobble and drop the disc, it’s a turnover.

I went to a DC Breeze pro ultimate frisbee game today. I saw a rare play, a “dropped pull”, twice, both times committed by Montreal Royal.

This might be the weirdest Nats game of the season so far.
