Building saasyDB.com - SaaS company database for marketers. I like coffee shops and talkin' biz. I've got a lovely wife, two young daughters, and an old ass cat who got the diabetes now, but she is still cute.
We are the people.
Yes it's very niche, just focused on SaaS companies.
AgentIQ happens to be in the company research in my database, but no employees have been researched yet.
I have records for some companies, but not all. the employee research process is more intense. Email/linkedin but no phone numbers.
Yes if itβs a SaaS and Iβve had a chance to research the employees, there would be that info in the database.
A few months ago, saasyDB had research on 11,000 SaaS companies in it.
As of this morning, it has research on 73,078 SaaS companies.
My goal is to have 100,000 SaaS companies in it before the year ends. I think I can do it.
If you want SaaS company data and leads that most marketers don't have access to, check out www.saasydb.com Cyber Monday deals end tonight
We visit family, but I go to whatever local coffee shop I can find to work, to get ready.
I feel like a jerk trying to do some sales/support from my phone while we're hanging out with family.
But it's such a good potential sales week, I don't feel like I can ignore it. BFCM FOMO.
Anyone else?
As an entrepreneur, I've grown to sort of hate Black Friday / Cyber Monday.
It's a week where I feel pressure to promote and make sales, but my kids are off from school, and everyone else is mostly off from work. So it's harder to work.
contd ...
beautiful. where is that?
hot startup take, if you don't have ideas constantly, then being a founder isn't right for you.
People who say "I just need an idea to get started", need to go work for someone with ideas.
The ideas and opportunities should be obvious from your day to day work and conversations.
It's a noble cause but 100% fucked
medium.com/hackernoon/t... here's the piece I wrote the day I decided to give up on the idea.
Are you planning on doing a Black Friday / Cyber Monday deal for your Startup? Where will you promote it?
Oh really, a dating related startup? I have a long article about why it was terrible I can dig up for you
Maybe a $2 MRR SaaS π
Every day this week, I'm trying to take a break during work to go on a walk, with a weighted back pack, no headphones or anything, just a boring break
Also doing "OMAD" 3x a week, so just a couple protein shakes in the afternoon, then dinner
What do you do to keep from getting fat and insane??
My "most interesting" startup was one that brokered feedback on dating profiles, like you could get 5 women to tell you which pictures were best/worst, how to improve the copy on your profile, etc.
It was the worst business model, super hard to build, and very hard to market. RIP.
I spent three hours figuring out how to do a more advanced filter in saasyDB, I'm excited to deploy it tomorrow.
Right after I figured it out, I got a call that my three year old threw up at school and I had to leave work for a bit.
Building a startup while trying to be a present dad is hard
I've got a goal every week of adding 5000+ SaaS companies to the saasyDB database. Today I pushed 5,263 US SaaS companies live. If you're researching SaaS companies, check out saasyDB.

Today's goals for saasyDB are to
1) publish information on 5,000 SaaS companies in the US
2) finish and deploy comma separated search terms in the job title filter (trickier than you might imagine!)
3) launch a new cold email campaign
What about you? What are your goals for the day?
#buildin
Goodness, gracious. This piece is among the best Iβve read in awhile. Great work @adamgurri.liberalcurrents.com.
this is from 2015? I googled and tried to find an article, and it was back then.
Thatβs radical man keep going
Working on a batch of SaaS companies now, the first big chunk of research to go into the system when the "company data only" offer is live, about 20k companies
GetLatka has about 40k SaaS companies, and my goal is to have more than them by the end of this quarter π
I'm hiring a VA to speed up the most boring, monotonous aspects of my research on SaaS companies
Goal is to launch an offer for just SaaS company data within saasyDB, for people who just want good clean lists of SaaS companies, and they can get the leads elsewhere
Exciting times
"No one does SaaS better than saasyDB" says one of my users
I'm trying to build the best SaaS database possible
What is wild is that it's totally possible for me to do so.
Iβm a tool huh?
What's your favorite cold email related tool? I'm trying to make an exhaustive list of the best tools for my cold email course
I asked chatgpt to generate a βcrazy 8bit graphicβ for coldemail.vip and I got this haha

was "Name your 3 favorite jazz albums?"
I thought that was so odd at the time. But my friend rattled off his top 3 jazz albums and what he liked about them.
Culture fit.
He worked there for years.
nearly 25 years ago now, I worked part time at a bike shop, doing a little work on 3speeds, but mostly odd jobs around the shop.
A friend of mine was a professional bike mechanic, and I brought him to meet the owner, to apply for a full time position.
The owner's first question to my friend...
Better tools are always worth it.
