Quick update from me.
It’s been a little quiet here the past few weeks while I’ve been working behind the scenes, but Episode 7 is on the way and should be released by the end of next week/weekend.
Thanks for the patience while I finish it up. I’m excited for you all to read this one.
The desire to quit my job and focus on writing full time is astronomically high.
Then the debt, bills, and adulting kicks in -_-

Wrote 15 pages this morning before work! Ah ah! I'm back baby!
She stopped painting
My brother stopped playing and writing music
I refuse to stop writing.
She never supported my creativity and yet I still considered her the best mom.
I…this is very childish... I'm 36 years old and all this… emotions that I've buried is
Coming to the light.
I don't want to talk to her. Just hearing her voice and text just angers me.
She was always there for him during school and what not.
… but not for me.
She wasn't there for me during my puppet performance during class.
She never got excited about one of my pieces being published during my high school.
I'm not sure as to why it came out. Maybe all the physical movement, or all the writing I've been doing.
But I know why…
My mom was always there to support my brothers creativity and other things that were important to him. He's was a pianist.
Before I post this, I'm still working on episode 6.
So since I started a new job, anger slowly started to rise out. But it's not my job funny enough. It's intense and physically demanding but… the job is not the problem.
It's towards my family, my mom specifically.
... So I'm managing to write five pages in the morning before work. I will get episode 6 done asap. As long as work doesn't kick my ass like it did last week. (Granted, that was my first work week.)
Due to the new job and that this week has been physically intense…Episode 6 will not be posted in a timely manner. Gonna finish up this weekend and get it posted by Sunday at least.

Heading home from Boston officially. I’ll continue working my writing tomorrow. I start my new job Thursday. So we’re making progress.

I’m taking a short break next week while I’m out of town. The next episode will land the week after. I appreciate you all being here as this story grows at the pace it needs.
Also I did end up getting a job and I start right after vacation. That’ll help me get back into the grove of things.
I had this image in my head for a while. Spent time trying to find a good background to use for this. Photography is original, naturally. Winter days in the UK make for some nice light. Finally was able to finish this.

Nostalgia
The past few days have been a mix of uncertainty and focus. After getting laid off, I’ve been pouring my energy into Episode 5 of The Ballad and I’m on track to finish the draft by Monday.
Hoping work comes soon. New chapters are rarely scary, but they can be heavy. 😞
