Well quite.
Well quite.
Yes, how can I help?
Thatβs amazing, never knew! Every day is a school day!
I put it down to a sudden increase in interest in periglacial landslides.
That is fascinating!
It was excellent Chris. PLUS my daughter is learning about the earthβs crust in school at the moment, so it was super useful!
Me and my lad will be seeing you in Sheffield Al. Plus a field full of beer and explosions in September! Particularly enjoy the QF3.7β HAA gun, as my Grandad was a gunner on one in the war (from defence around London to Germany, via Normandy and up to the Scheldt alongside Canadian 2nd Div.)
With the Jocks was the best book I read last year (due to your recommendation and the WHW pod), in part because of the amazing sketches. The section where they got accidentally shelled by their own 25 pounders still makes me shudderβ¦
Loughrigg Terrace walk above Grasmere. Then fresh gingerbread from the Grasmere gingerbread shop.
It was very good Chris. First time Iβve been able to tell the kids βI know that chap on TV!β
This is excellent, as was the book and the talk at WHWF this year!
My wifeβs great uncle was killed in Op Infatuate II on Walcheren. We visited a few years back and a Dutch Army staff tour was in progress at a German WN that is closed to the public. When we explained the family link the very kind Officer guide let us in. Was a fascinating trip, cool to see this map
Have a great trip. We had a superb time in Munich, Nuremberg, Berchtesgaden (and Arnhem on the way home!) this year.
