I decided to go with that moderation level making thing and I think the level with the line-guided colored blocks I'm moderating is turning out pretty decent, and allows me to see what issues the sprite has.
Also, I haven't made an SMW level in a while, so I got creative juices flowing.

I don't plan on making Binary World's sequel any time soon, but I do have some good ideas for it. The basic plot would be Bowser taking control of Binary I and trying to "reprogram" reality to his will, so Mario and friends would have to stop him.

Just updated my Mario Bros. (NES) disassembly to make it more inline with the later disassemblies I've done, like replacing tabs with spaces, separating defines and using macros. I also renamed some labels, touched up some comments here and there and made use of new defines. A bit more polished now.

Obviously it can take longer to moderate a resource if you're also designing a level around it, but... you may as well have fun with what you do.

I should try making levels with resources i moderate. I tried that before and it didn't really pan out, but the idea has potential. It can be fun, creative and productive by putting the resource under "end user" lens.

The only problem is that I would have to operate in the context of a single game's mechanics, there's only so much I can say about so many custom levels. Though this is probably something I could overcome by checking judge comments from previous contests and seeing how they handled things.

It would be fun to try to judge an SMW level design contest, officially. I like to think I have improved my critical thinking and writing after typing lots of game reviews (and having fan-judged levels in the past).

I am thinking of doing a "trash can" ASM release for the upcoming C3, where I dump a bunch of resources I have shown off previously but never released publicly (like throw block stacks, boo-merang, etc), and slap a "use at your own risk" sticker.

That's right, I'm not gonna be ashamed to admit I played those and a few others. Because I can use reasoning as to why I like or dislike something, regardless of appearance. Sexual content games can be as good or bad as games with violence or any game really.

I've been more accepting of what kinds of games I'm playing, mostly regarding games with sexual content. I'm not gonna sit there and pretend Gal*Gun 2 or Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed aren't fun games. I think its thanks to my improved critical thinking, I can look beneath the surface.

I had already extracted sound data from Pocket Love 2. It uses the same sound driver as the predecessor, so it was simply a matter of locating it and using the same sound extraction script I wrote previously.

In Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart, the reflections aren't real reflections - the game flips the models and puts them under to create an illusion. This is not an uncommon tactic, as games like Perfect Dark have done this before. But you can actually break the illusion with certain models.
