I’m going to adopt your labelling system forthwith and stop making bespoke labels..which don’t always get made..
I enjoyed following from afar. What made it so great (apart from all the awesome participants)?
Great visual story of the social theory of intersectionality 👇
Really enjoying following developments - we stop off on our way to Lichfield to enjoy.
Thank-you for sharing - excited to think about how I can use in my work.
Ooh! Narrows :0)
Could you share more about what made it good? I’m starting on designing something similar for doctoral supervisors.
Came across this fabulous idea yesterday: The Pac-Man Rule at conferences: www.ericholscher.com/blog/2017/au...
I wasn’t interested in Wicked until April 2023 when we accidentally saw the set being built from our narrowboat. Saw the stage musical this April and loved how clever the story was. Saw the movie this Sunday and blew me away 😀
Oh happy, happy day. The Wicked movie is everything I was looking forward to and more. If you’re interested here are photos of the set taken when we cruised past on nb Haversham in April 2023. The vast amounts of scaffolding make sense now.
People are NOT born Wicked. Go see the movie - it’s fabulous 😀
Reader, I am delighted that @lawriephipps.bsky.social ‘s never ending, optimistic support for Wolves is currently reaping rewards. I intend to snooze through Match of the Day.
So, lesson learned - Heather, do not get carried away with being here and follow everyone who’s followed you without checking their profile. I have had some very strange DMs..
Peeked at a page in my thesis that probably hasn’t been exposed to daylight since 1996: The BLAST program was use to search the EMBL and Genebank DNA sequence databases and the OWL and SWISSPROT protein sequence databases.
Was the DNA database we were trying to remember this evening called ‘Blast’ @osullih.bsky.social ? (Nothing to see here, just two biologists reminiscing about the old days).
The first time I’ve had a shout out at an inaugural. Thank-you @jacpotter.bsky.social for inviting me and @lawriephipps.bsky.social to share your special evening. So much food for thought, followed by excellent food and conversation with @osullih.bsky.social and @lauramilne.bsky.social
How have I never stumbled across 'unpaywall' before?
Install the app and when you see the green tab beside a research article, click it to read the full text. upaywall say that "You'll see our green tab on about half of articles". What's not to love!

We passed the ‘secret’ film set last April on our narrowboat. Looked intriguing so decided to see the stage show this April. We had no idea what the story was. Absolutely loved it.
I’m desperately trying not to post how excited I am to be seeing Wicked on Sunday until I’ve posted something work related…
Academic authorship - interesting provocation from @markhooper.bsky.social and thoughtful responses 👇
I feel your pain (and I also wanted to say ‘Hi’ from Heather Jane Sears 🤓

It was lovely to see you were here 😀
Word of the day - hagiography /ˌhaɡɪˈɒɡrəfi/ The writing of the lives of saints - a biography that treats its subject with undue reverence. Learned reading about the Beckham bio documentary that the director says steers clear of the above. I shall watch and (most probably) enjoy.
