Well, at least he’s leaving a trail for law enforcement, if one of his obsessive disciples does what I’m sure he’s trying to threaten me with in this post.
I recommend these guys stop spiralling and threatening me for reporting on things you say and do.
It makes them look desperate.

This is not unusual. Wile E. Coyote often traveled a fair distance before looking down and realizing he had run off the cliff.

What is divisive is OneCity's attitude towards how this coalition gets formed. Azaroff's move was my-way-or-the-highway. And i'm wary of a YIMBY approach to everything, regardless of affordability. Vancouver has built way more than other cities in the last decades, and it's still the most expensive.

Your article should have made it clear that you’re a OneCity partisan. The current onslaught is a continuation of Azaroff’s divisiveness. My sole objective is getting a progressive city government, not in promoting a particular centrist party.

My subjective take is that one of the three progressive parties -- supposedly cooperating -- shouldn't try to hijack that, as Azaroff attempted a few weeks ago, and now propose -- over 7 months from the election -- that 1City have more candidates because, hey, we're "better."

So the least cooperative, OneCity, gets perks for being most aggressive. Maybe each party float a mayoral hopeful, one with best polling by Aug. 1 is the candidate. Each party gets 3 council candidates, some mechanism for deciding who gets 4. OneCity saying my way or the highway is not cooperation.

I don't think "affair" is the really right term when he was texting a congressional aide explicit messages and she wrote back "this is going too far, boss"

Read the three-part thread. BCNDP is basically working for the benefit of foreign multinationals. Almost no jobs, either.

"Solutions" boil down to getting rid of Sim&Co. (meaning reversing the new cop training ctr, having a normal budget which pays for things, and more). That in turn means the left *unifying* and not stabbing each other in the back. We see enough untrammeled ego down south. We don't need it here.

Vancouver Car Free Days cancelled for 2026
A popular annual festival that saw Vancouver streets closed to traffic and opened to vendors, performers and crowds of pedestrians has been called off for 2026.
"Increasingly, the landscape for large-scale events, particularly community events, has been changing."
Ken Sim and ABC found $1 million for a sign and $2 million for fireworks after pushing through a brutal austerity Budget.
Surely we can save Car Free Days!

Conservatives introduce motion to restrict temporary health coverage - iPolitics
Opposition party calls on the government to restrict federal benefits received by rejected asylum claimants to emergency life saving health care only.
Conservatives want to strip refugee health care, and Liberals are already forcing them to pay out-of-pocket for medicine.
Denying preventative care doesn't save money—it just pushes people into ERs and costs taxpayers more.
Stop scapegoating. Fix the backlogs.

ICE and CBP are thugs, but so are regular cops. Doesn't matter if an individual cop is decent; they're completely subsumed into violent cop culture. ACAB.

thinking of all the heroic members of the whermacht serving in these operations. they courageously go wherever in the world duty calls, from the forests of the argonne, to the deserts of afrika, to the snows of the soviet union. their sacrifices represent the best of the german spirit.

Holding two thoughts in my head.
1. China's racist near-enslavement of the Uyghur peoples, its crushing of Hong Kong and Tibetan democracy, its belligerent threat to Taiwan, and more.
2. On the other hand, they have a very good point here.

The West can recognize it was a mistake for Ukraine to give up its nuclear weapons because it left the door open to the invasion from Russia, but will not accept that countries like Iran and North Korea desire them to stop Western meddling and attacks.
