Covid hospitalisations climb as New Zealand enters new wave There’s been an increase in hospitalisations and in wastewater detections, and it’s expected to last another month or two.

There were 19 reported covid related deaths last week and a big uptick in hospitalizations. We're in a wave.

We haven't been hearing much about it, so I'm pleased to see this article on Stuff.

Still absolutely adamant you do not want Covid. Long Covid is still a crisis and is the worst health impact I’ve ever personally experienced.
Our health system is much worse than it was in 2020 - you do not want to navigate it with Covid impacts.

Ossoff: "The president owes Americans a real explanation. 2am posts on Truth Social just aren't good enough when you're sending Americans into combat. He was dancing at his beach club the same night he ordered air crews to launch into combat & hours before our service members endured missile salvos"

You know what won’t get stuck in the Strait of Hormuz?

Sunlight and solar panels.

This quote in a book I’m reading:

β€œI used to think that my father had been assigned to us by the government. This was because he appeared to serve no purpose.”

Social media created this nonsense idea that not exposing yourself to hatred is isolationist. Choosing to not spend your free time with bigots isn’t living in a bubble. I don’t need to know what’s going on at X. I won’t be smarter or more knowledgeable or empathic by being there. Neither will you.

Why is there always enough money for war, but never enough to feed everyone and tackle the climate crisis?

A Golden Retriever barks for two days beside earthquake rubble, refusing to leave an injured cat behind. That sound led rescuers to both of them alive. Every being has a soul & is worth saving.

Yes drug, alcohol and mental health can be factors but so too can job loss, floods and fires.

There’s a lot of misunderstanding around those who end up rough sleeping and it’s important to understand cause so you can effectively target intervention.

Oh yeah and move on orders are trash.

Kia ora, there is a lot of chat right now around folks who are rough sleeping.

I used to work in this space as a volunteer manager in England and I just think it’s important to remember that research tends to show that the number one cause of homelessness is a relationship breakdown.

The Long-nosed Horn Frog lives in the rainforests of Southern Thailand.

They catch their prey by waiting motionless among leaf litter.
