i am not feeling powerful, i am not gaining any power, i am haunted by the fragility of all life

my power naps don’t feel like power naps. they feel like brief existential encounters with the void

don’t be too cool to be actually creative. that is, vulnerable and interesting in your own ways

i love writing, i sob,,, as i struggle with proper comma usage

talking about poetry with a group of young people full of imagination and compassion gives me so much joy. and hope.

taught a generative class on zoom recently & i was so moved by the discussion, by everyone’s participation & care. i love reading poems, talking about poems, witnessing how we open up because of poetry. because we let ourselves get vulnerable. & let our minds do surprising things

due to personal reasons, i love a baked potato

trying to finish writing 2 books this year—one prose and one poetry—wish me luck!
