For the 19th Thanksgiving weekend in a row, my "traditional" Black Friday Kacchhi Dabeli. 😋😋 Oh it really hits the spot. I think this is literally the only day of the year I buy pomegranate.

It started as a way to use up leftover mashed potatoes from Thanksgiving dinner. Now our tradition.

Kids today can just look up lyrics instantly, including their meanings and references and Easter eggs.

Ours was the last generation that often took weeks and months if not years to fully figure out lyrics.

Especially Springsteen and Michael Jackson. It's English but not really.

Folks who grew up with Internet can't imagine debates we had to figure out lyrics.

Found a cassette jacket with lyrics,

Who is Frankie, we had to figure out. Valli? Oh Sinatra! Etc.

I have seen Brett Lee's entire test career. He was never as good as Bumrah Cummins Starc even at his best. He was very fast for a couple of years. But he was never spearhead material. Check out his test career season by season. He never really shone super bright. And had endless fitness issues.

Living in NYC means people you know expect you to know of some secret affordable hotel at about $150 a night that you can point them to.

No such place exists.

So I have a draft email that I just slightly edit and send out. Whenever I get these requests every other week.

I'm already quite impressed and intimated by students who submit their essay assignments a week before they're due. And then there are students who will also send you a draft 10 days before for feedback & suggestions. Which is already perfect. They impress & intimidate most!
