Go back and read the history of how, why and the circumstances under which Israel became a state. Start with Britain suggesting Palestine as the ideal place for Israel, despite conflicts that started with British support of Zionism during WWI.

There are agreements obligating the US to provide certain assistance, which is supposed to be limited to defense, which is an easily muddied term for Bibi. That's why under Biden there were constant diplomatic efforts, though ineffective. We don't run Israel. I don't know why people think we do.
