Ah. I'm glad you mentioned it, because I would have otherwise missed it. I usually listen to youtube while doing other things, and would have missed the text shoutout. For anyone else looking for it, its during the section talking about old D&D modules and nostalgia anchoring.
Sweet. Thanks!

It's Jeeksday! Starting tonight we've got three fantastic guests joining us for part one of Blade Runner: 2037.
Tune in at 7pm GMT for film noir detectives, neon lights, flying cars and replicant-hunting in rainy, future Los Angeles...

He's not a cardboard cutout, so no, lol
Which episode? Lol. I'm a few behind on Issac Arthur videos, so I want to prioritize, lol
Yeah, if that's whats happening, that's definitely no good.
Free League officially launched sales of @limithron.bsky.socialβs Pirate Borg Starter Set today. And we need to talk about this. Long term folllwerso will know that we are generally (unpaid) shills for Free League stuff, and do they often send us books and stuff and we got a copy a few days ago. 1/?
Regardless, looking forward to the next video
I'd really be interested in a breakdown of the lore changes between editions. I have all the 3.5 books and never even considered getting the 4e and 5e Eberron stuff, as we don't use the setting in D&D anymore anyway. Watching your videos there are a lot of things that seem wholly new or rewritten.
Awesome! I'm really excited to dig into it. I really hope someone ends up doing Heortland/Hendrikiland to complete Dragon Pass.
Yeah... not including Cepheus Engine (which is modern and a retro clone) I don't know of one. I think Twilight 2000 1e is vaguely related to Traveller, but no idea if they share system. Otherwise, no, definitely nothing I'm familar with.
Yeah, that seems plausible. I've not read Traveller 1e, but early D&D wasn't a system so much as a series of free floating mechanics in a trenchcoat. RQ (and BRP after) definitely thought about how all the peices fit together and tried to make it a cohesive design. D&D didn't get that until 3e.
Planning on a few other things. I have tons of stuff pdf only from Jonstown Compendium, but setting books are definitely worth the money to have at the table.
Next is probably going to be Ships and Shores...
Just grew my Glorantha collection, thanks to our tax refund. My wife has been interested in Nochet since we started in Glorantha, and Tarsh and Imther are nearby to the north.
I have a feeling I'm going to find myself in a game in Nochet once our current games wrap up.
I've only had good interactions, so fingers crossed for you!
Dystopian hellscape, yeah.

Definitely reach out. Nick Brooke haunts Bluesky too, although I don't know his handle to summon him. He is something of an ambassador (if not an actual employee, I'm never quite sure who is and isn't lol)

Its the BRP system, which derived from RuneQuest (which originally came out in '78). Its a d100 roll under system. Same as Call of Cthulhu or Stormbringer.
A young girl uses an X-Ray Shoe-Fitting Machine in a store. Her mother peers through the viewing window, smiling at the bones in her daughter's irradiated feet. A suited man, possibly a shoe salesman, stands behind the machine.
A crowd of kids and teens stand around an X-Ray Shoe-Fitting Machine as a woman X-Rays her feet. A young man in white stands on the opposite side, his foot one the raised machine platform, exposing the bulge in his pants to an extra helping of radiation.
Old print advertisement for X-Ray Shoe-Fitting at Rochester Sample Shoe Store. It promotes the benefits of giving your child's tender foot proper shoes "for a lifetime of foot health and comfort." The drawing of a family standing around as their skirt-wearing daughter x-rays her feet appears as if they're all glowing with sweet, sweet radiation.
Thread 1/6
The first half of the 20th Century introduced us to the wonders of radioactive technology. People rushed to embrace it.
It was the future.
In shoe stores you could x-ray your foot for a "perfect fitting shoe." While dosage levels were mostly minimal to customers, not for store employees.
Sounds interesting!
Not all heroes wear capes.

I've looked at it, but not too closely. I got a copy in a ebay lot a long while back, lol. I'll have to pull it out and look at the cyberware...
Cyrus: "I've not returned to Morrowind since then."
Tobias: "Who'd want to?! All that ash and fire; those Dark Elves can keep their curse!"
Cyrus: "Don't forget the bugs."
Tobias: "Ach!"
--Cyrus and Tobias discussing how they do not desire to ever return to Morrowind.
I'm reluctantly good with this. Schwarzenegger is old enough now.
However, Conan the Barbarian was more than Arnold.
Basil Poledouris passed away and it needs a composer that can carry on that distinct sound.
Mako is gone, and a new chronicler with a good voice is needed.
Don't CGI it to shit.
D&D 3e, although it wasn't until Hero System and 2004 "new" World of Darkness that I really locked in. Probably would have hung it up years ago otherwise. Turns out D&D wasn't my style, but I love rpgs, lol
A classic from "Babylon 5"
