There was a project at least 15 years ago where a sysadmin hooked log ingests to an audio output, and could hear differences in the noise patterns as rates and ratios changed under stress.
I sadly can't currently find the writeup, but was a fascinating early project on the dimensionality of raw data
The thoughts here on Huffman Coding and how a programming language might be designed with such considerations are a great read - and maybe tangentially relevant as a discussion on (intentionally) guiding how an ...unnatural(?) "language" is processed or leveraged:

Or writing web crawlers for pages that were poorly coded or human-updated with inconsistent schemas... Or data migrations from organically developed "document" database systems to more structured/opinionated storage 😭🫠
Also, a chat/bot interface to 20q.net, which was scarily good at what it did even decades ago (though have not verified as much recently)
Approx.. 20yrs ago, wrote bot to guess song artists/titles in irc channels by searching lyrics & replying based on proximity heuristics/regex.
Turned into generalized chatbot w/out mem that could give "real" answers ...most times
Majority of the effort was filtering unrelated Ad copy from responses.
Kittens like this trying to break into my car would fix me honestly
Cops the weakest amongst us: "A man who was shot by police and later died had to wait 10 extra minutes for an ambulance after an officer having a “mild anxiety attack” took the first one that arrived at the scene, according to a newly released state investigation."
The man was shot in the back.
For four months straight, I contacted technical support, provided what they requested, and filed an appeal, but they still maintain the rating on my account, even though they haven't responded to the appeal or resolved my issue.
This Palestinian account has been marked as spam despite obviously being a real person. This has been happening to all of them. When an account is marked as spam it seems like you can't even repost someone's quote tweet of them; they're effectively just banished to the shadow realm.

Drone strikes in Haiti.
Drone strikes. In Haiti.
By private contractors.
They’re killing Haitians for private profit & the world barely pays attention.
The story of Haiti is the story America likes to tell about itself. Except there, it’s true. And the west has never stopped punishing Haiti for it

It’s incredibly dystopian how pretty much every consumer tech company is going all in on the idea that we all should wear a body cam stuffed with a chatbot.

All the digital textbooks limit what you can print to 30% of the book. One prof actually openly suggested we coordinate to pool our printing resources: "between three people you should be able to print all relevant sections."
Absolutely ridic waste of paper and ink, too.

PANEL 1: A FRIEND showing MATTIE a big canvas. FRIEND: Hey check out this art i bought. I think it's incredible. MATTIE: Uhh. What is it? PANEL 2: reverse shot, you can see it's just an enormous black dot on a canvas. FRIEND: It's the aggregate of all human creative output, in the totality of recorded history, averaged out and then printed on this canvas! PANEL 3: Shot from panel 1. MATTIE just kind of stares at the friend. FRIEND: I can see you think I'm stupid. Would an IDIOT spend 14 billion dollars on it? Hmm? FRIEND: Would an IDIOT have been MOVED TO TEARS by this? PANEL 4: Same shot, two people walk by, looking amazed. P1: Wow, the computers are getting so good! P2: We'll be replaced any day now!
